Prodromi

Prodromi is a small village located 1km from Polis on the island of Cyprus. It is near to the sea and has all you would expect from a small village including a taverna or two, grocery stores, a butcher and fishmonger and is a great place to start exploring all the unspoilt countryside and coastline that Cyprus has to offer.

The residents of the village enjoy a stunning view of the sea and a magnificent mountain range back drop on a daily basis and the area has all the amenities that you need. Prodromi, which is located in the Polis District is perfect for those who crave relative seclusion but still to be near to all amenities that contribute to modern day living.

From Prodromi you can get to the distinguished areas of Polis and Latsi in a matter of minutes. Prodromi village has always been a hit with tourists as it offers beautiful natural beauty and scenery, historical sites, top-class dining and brilliant recreational facilities. The village is within easy access to Paphos airport so its’ simple to make the journey.

The Prodromi of today has so far managed to steer relatively clear of the tourist mainstream and with the Polis district of Polis town, Latsi and the Akamas Peninsula so close by, buying a property either for a holiday home or as a permanent resident makes perfect sense.

The area around Prodromi has lots of interesting archaeological sites to look at. For instance, the area of Lissos is rich in archaeological treasures including a Roman graveyard and the ruin of one of the first Byzantine churches in the region. Also worth a visit are the remains of Yrtakina, an ancient city that dates all the way back to the prehistoric period.

Being in close proximity to the sea, the village enjoys excellent nearby facilities for water sports and you can also keep yourself entertained with the golf facilities on hand or go trekking or simply explore the miles and miles of unspoilt beaches.
